Update to the Band Council
From the Trustees of the Trust
November 19, 2024

1. The Trustees held their first meeting virtually on November 18, 2024. All appointed trustees were in attendance. The Trustees are:
   • John B Carter Chair
   • Tim Barnes
   • Storm Gould
   • Robyn Googoo Prosper
   • Nathan Sack
2. Also attending the meeting were David Henry and Lorna King of Benefit Plan Administrators (Atlantic) Limited (BPA) and Julie MacPhee of Patterson Law, our legal council.
3. The Trustees agreed that the most important matter was the opening of a bank account for the Trust to facilitate the receipt of the settlement amount from Canada. The process for opening a bank account for a Trust is a more complicated process than for an individual. BPA has considerable experience with this and has commenced the process. The Trustees will do all things required to complete the process in the most expeditious manner possible.
4. The Trustees agreed to meet as often as required to facilitate the opening of the Trust account and to make payment to the Band Council for the Per Capita Distribution as quickly as possible.
5. Once the per capita distribution amount has been distributed to the Band Council the Trustees anticipate quarterly meetings including an annual meeting open to the Band members.
6. The Trustees approved the agreement with BPA.
7. The Trustees appointed Doane Grant Thornton as auditors.
8. The Trustees will undertake regular updates to the Band Council.
